"I didn't want to add more stress." "I didn't want to make you worry more." "I didn't want you to see me like that."

If I can't handle you at your worst how do you know you can handle you at best? This is something that even myself I have a hard time dealing with in a relationship. It's one of those things that people really start to realize once the honeymoon effect as worn off. You see the person's warts and you start wondering if you didn't make mistake.

Learning to let go of myself and just be a regular guy is hard but nobody is a gentleman all the time. That's only in books. Face Mr. Darcy had to go bathroom at some point. It's not fancy or glamorous but it's a fact.

Why hide the fact that you are human? I have two people in my life that if you read their Facebook you see two people that are just perfect. Reading their blogs? They show you their real selves proving that they aren't perfect. They didn't tell the world that they showed each other their warts but they knew and it was enough for them. They are happy and I can see them lasting well into their eighties without hardly an argument.

Just be yourself with the person you love because if you really love them then you are going to show that you don't smell like pineapple mango in the bathroom (the spray does but you don't), you clip your toenails in the bed, you have an obsession with watching the stock channel just so you see your initials go across the screen, that you keep locks from each haircut you get, or that you refuse to drink from a cup that doesn't have a lid.

The one thing that always make me feel better no matter what is being taken care or taking care of someone. It calms me instantly regardless of what is going on around me. 

Taking care of someone always gives me a sense of being needed or wanted. I like helping people because it feels like there is more purpose to my life.

I love being gentle and kind. Helping someone is a daily goal of mine and it won't change I have been like this for a long time. I think it's because I was so well taken care of in my life.

Best Thing This Week

Our house.

Yes our house, not my house. I never thought I would have someone that I love like I do to spend the rest of my life in the house above. And yes that's our house. It makes me grin like a school girl seeing a shirtless (or pantless guy for some of them) knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with her.

We have started talking about how to decorate the inside already. We aren't going to try and do this alone. We have the support and love our family and friends. They give us inspiration and advice of how to do things. We appreciate suggestions just not being bossed around. We won't tolerate that.

I was scared to death about showing the house to her the first time. I was so scared she wouldn't like it. I started out showing her the floor plan and then our friend took a picture of the outside and sent it to her. I asked her if she liked it. She told me she didn't like it. She loved it instead. We both love the Victorian/Gothic feel to our house. And though it might be big, it is still quaint enough for us.

Being inside the house with just a shell gives us an idea of what we want in it for our family. And though we have hesitation of certain materials because of our babies and children we have agree we can go back and change certain things if they don't work out for us. We both have some hesitations with the house because we need to grow into the house but I have no difficulty believing that we will grow into it very quickly.

So the best thing to happen to me this week is starting to decorate our house.

Dream Date

It's not an exact location at all. It has certain ingredients to it though.

• Music; so a music player with speakers. All kinds of music not just slow.
• Bubbles and Bubble solution
• Tarp and kiddie pool
• Picnic food
• Hoola Hoop

I want to have a crazy date of dancing to crazy music from Ke$ha, Garth Brooks, AC/DC, John Mayer, PB&J Otter theme music, etc. Be a kid again and just not care.

And on the note of being a kid. I want to make a human in a bubble with the hoola hoop and bubble solution. And just blow bubbles.

And it's a given I am growing boy so I need my food. Heck it can be from McDonald's, 4 Happy Meals would make this boy Mighty Happy. 

Honeymoon Option One

Ireland

I would want to tour the city of Dublin on the vehicles that can go on water or land easily. Have a tour and at the Guinness Store. Going to see the ancient illuminated Book of Kells at Trinity College is also something I would like to do. Or go on a walking tour of Temple Bar.

Also riding through the countryside and going to Cashel to visit the Rock of Cashel. Kings of Munster royal seating would be amazing to see. I would love to wander around the medieval buildings including the Chapel of King Cormac.

I think it would be amazing to find shamrocks where Saint Patrick himself once stood. One thing I would love and must do is go to Killarney. I remember singing Christmas in Killarney with my mom until she died. Exploring Killarney is a must for me. Killarney even has ghost tours where you can spot spirits in castles and other places along the lakes in the National Park.

A horsedrawn carriage through fields to Muckross House, which is a restored Victorian Manor that has over 65 rooms. Having lunch there would be amazing. Hiking or biking though the land would be awesome to enjoy the views.

At least one night I would love to have a traditional cottage dinner with authentic Irish cuisine and folk dancing.

Another castle I would like to explore is Blarney Castle where the famous Blarney stone is. It has amazing gardens and fortress. Legend has it if you kiss the rock you will have the gift of eloquence.

Wandering through Adare to see the farm animals and the amazing landscape would be exquisite. Not far from there is another castle I would like to visit. Dromoland Castle is a place where you can stay over night. There is even spa services. The restaurant there is said to be amazing.

There is over 400 acres that people can explore and I believe it would be really romantic to tour the ground of Dromoland. They even have it where you can interact right up close with birds such as hawks, falcons, and owls. The thing I would like best is that they have a medieval feast some nights. I love eating at Medieval Times in Florida, Georgia, and in South Carolina so having the real thing in a real castle would be a dream come true.

And some of the smaller things would be to help herd sheeps or feed lambs or piglets. Also visiting the cliffs and watching the waves crash from the oceans. Learning folktales about Vikings would be incredible.

Her

Even though I doubt I will ever eat Skittles or M&Ms with my girlfriend she is amazing.

I never thought I would find someone that changes my perspective on the world and really makes me think. It's nice to have someone who will really talk to you. Not about a game, show, or how you feel about each other, but really talk.

We spend hours talking and cuddling each night. Cuddling is a weird thing for both of us since neither of us like clingy people. We make it work.

I have so much fun talking to her. I really like it when she just talks. It makes me smile reading what she has to say. Teasing her is also fun because she gets so shy.

I'll do a more in depth later. I really just wanted to make her smile.
